Born in Dubai, UAE, Mohsen’s love for storytelling began at an early age, listening to the folktales passed down by elders. This passion led him to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from Zayed University, followed by a Master’s in Arabic Literature from the United Arab Emirates University.
His literary journey started in journalism and publishing, where he worked as a cultural reporter, editorial consultant, and acquisitions editor before dedicating himself fully to writing. His books—Mirage of the Sandstorm, The Silent Minaret, and Whispers Beneath the Palm Trees—have earned widespread recognition for their lyrical prose and cultural depth.

Mohsen Fallahian’s passion for storytelling begins as he listens to Emirati folktales passed down by elders in his family, igniting his love for literature and cultural narratives.

He enrolls at Zayed University, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, where he refines his storytelling skills and studies contemporary Emirati literature.

Graduates and begins his career as a cultural journalist for Al Khaleej Gazette, covering literary events, interviewing authors, and exploring the evolving landscape of Arabic storytelling.

Pursues a Master’s in Arabic Literature at United Arab Emirates University, focusing on the fusion of classical Arabic literature with modern storytelling techniques.
- 2016
Publishes his debut novel, Mirage of the Sandstorm, a contemporary fiction novel exploring love, ambition, and cultural identity in a rapidly changing Dubai. The book gains critical acclaim, marking him as a rising voice in Emirati literature.
- 2018
Releases his second novel, The Silent Minaret, a historical fiction novel set in 19th-century Abu Dhabi, exploring knowledge, faith, and power. The novel earns him the Sheikh Zayed Book Award (Emerging Author Category).
- 2020
Launches the podcast “Tales from the Gulf,” where he delves into Emirati and Middle Eastern literature, discussing folklore, contemporary fiction, and the art of storytelling.
